{"id":45044,"date":"2019-09-18T13:31:34","date_gmt":"2019-09-18T13:31:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.cira.ca\/news\/learn-more-about-candidates-cira-board-directors-2\/"},"modified":"2023-03-10T10:54:47","modified_gmt":"2023-03-10T15:54:47","slug":"learn-more-about-candidates-cira-board-directors-2","status":"publish","type":"cira_news","link":"https:\/\/stg-saas.cira.ca\/en\/resources\/news\/about\/learn-more-about-candidates-cira-board-directors-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Learn more about the candidates for the CIRA board of directors"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>Engage with potential directors in online forum<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Ottawa, ON \u2013 September 18, 2019&nbsp;\u2013 Members of the Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) community will begin casting their votes on September 25&nbsp;for candidates in the Canadian Internet Registration Authority&#8217;s (CIRA) 2019&nbsp;board of directors election.<\/p>\n<p>In advance of the vote, CIRA members can learn more about the candidates and where they stand on issues of importance to Canada&#8217;s internet.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Candidate profiles are&nbsp;now<a href=\"https:\/\/stg-saas.cira.ca\/about-cira\/board-and-governance\/board-directors-election\/election-candidates-and-results#final\"> live on our site<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>CIRA members can engage with candidates in the 2019&nbsp;campaign forum, which is <a href=\"https:\/\/stg-saas.cira.ca\/2019-Campaign-forum-Forum-de-la-campagne-2019\">now open<\/a>.&nbsp;The forum will be accessible from September 18-25.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>CIRA members are an important part of CIRA&#8217;s governance process and help ensure that a broad range of views are represented in CIRA&#8217;s decision making.<\/p>\n<p><strong>About CIRA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) manages the .CA top-level domain on behalf of all Canadians.
