The vote period starts today at 3 p.m.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Toronto, September 22, 2016 <\/strong>\u2013 Members of the CIRA community will begin casting their votes today for candidates in the Canadian Internet Registration Authority&#8217;s (CIRA) 2016 Board of Directors Election. The vote period starts today at 3 p.m. ET and ends at 3 p.m. ET on September 29, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>CIRA Members play an important role in choosing the leadership that will guide CIRA through the next three years of its mandate.<\/p>\n<h2>Learn more about the candidates<\/h2>\n<p>CIRA Members can learn more about each Candidate before casting their votes by reading the <a href=\"https:\/\/stg-saas.cira.ca\/election-results\">candidates&#8217; statements<\/a>. You can also interact with candidates in<a href=\"https:\/\/stg-saas.cira.ca\/2016-campaign-forum\"> CIRA&#8217;s campaign forum.<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Voting for election candidates<\/h2>\n<p>This year, CIRA Members will have the opportunity to cast their votes to elect 4candidates\u20143 from the Nomination committee slate and 1 from the Members slate.<\/p>\n<p>Voting will take place online at <a href=\"https:\/\/vote.cira.ca\">vote.cira.ca<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The election results will be published on <a href=\"https:\/\/stg-saas.cira.ca\/election-results\">stg.cira.ca\/election-results<\/a> on or before October 3, 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Information about CIRA&#8217;s Board of Directors election and how to vote is available at <a href=\"https:\/\/stg-saas.cira.ca\/election\">stg.cira.ca\/election<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2>About the Canadian Internet Registration Authority<\/h2>\n<p>The Canadian Internet Registration Authority (CIRA) manages the .CA top-level domain on behalf of all Canadians.
